HIV/AIDS patients in the Eastern Region are appealing to the government to provide them with anti-retroviral drugs.
The patients do not have the drugs due to the persistent strike by Government Hospitals Pharmacists Association (GHOSPA).
Reports indicate that there is acute shortage of these drugs in the government hospitals who are supposed to supply or sell them the patients.
The shortage of the anti-retroviral has affected them to the extent that people are beginning to notice they are HIV/AIDS patients when they visit the hospitals.
Our regional reporter Francis Armah Frimpong reports that patients find it difficult to go to the hospital because they claim there will not be any drug available for them.
Due to this, about 19 HIV patients have been admitted at the Eastern Regional Hospital and are therefore calling on government to intervene.
