Moses Asaga appointed NPA boss; Kirk Cofie as VRA CEO

President John Dramani Mahama has appointed new chief executives for the National Petroleum Authority (NPA) and Volta River Authority (VRA).
Moses Asaga would head the NPA, while Kirk Cofie will take over from kweku Awortwi as Acting Chief Executive of VRA.
The announcement was contained in a statement issued by the Energy and Petroleum Ministry earlier today.
Moses Asaga appointment confirms Joy Business story in September that the former Minister of Employment and Labour Relations has been shortlisted to head the NPA.
Mr Asaga was a former Member of Parliament for Nabdam rom 1996 to 2012 and also the former chairman for the Parliamentary Select Committee on Mines and Energy, Oil and Gas.
He holds  MSc in petroleum Engineering  from the  University of Aberdeen,  an  MBA from Yonsei University South Korea.
Kirk Cofie until his appointment was the deputy Chief Executive  for  the Volta River Authority.
